(b. 1995) Mary Lindsey is an audio engineer, composer, and percussionist currently living in Nashville, TN.
Mary graduated from Furman University in Greenville with her BA in Music with a minor in Ancient Greek and Roman studies in May of 2018. While at Furman, she had the privilege to record concerts and recitals in Furman’s Daniel Recital Hall, including the Furman Jazz Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble. She was able to act as lead engineer for many guest artist concerts including, Third Coast Percussion, Sandbox Percussion, Hypercube, The Mande Strings, and the Greenville Jazz Collective. She also acted as the music department’s music technology Teaching Assistant (TA).
Along with audio engineering, Mary had opportunities to perform with the Furman Percussion Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Paladin Regiment.
Outside of Furman, Mary was an Audio Engineering Intern with The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps based out of Allentown, PA for the 2017 and Audio Engineer for the 2018 season. She was also the Sound Designer for the Sycamore High School War Eagle Band, the US Bands Class AAA Open Southern State Champions in the 2017 season. US Bands Class AAAA Open Southern State Champions in the 2018 season. She was also the Sound Designer for their 2019 program.
Mary is pursuing her master’s degree in audio engineering at Belmont University and is the Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) in the Laboratory of Audio for Interactive Media. Mary is expected to graduate in August 2020.
